GENERAL
INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS OF QGP WINTER SCHOOL 2008
A lot of effort
has gone into organization of the school. Experts in the field have kindly
agreed to share their knowledge with the young researchers in the field, in
spite of their busy schedule. Also, a large number of enthusiastic young
researchers could not be accommodated due to limited infrastructure and funds.
It is,
therefore, imperative that the participants shall attend ALL the lectures.
Mobile phones must
be switched off inside the Lecture Hall.
Participants
intending to go out of the Gold Palace Hotel premises during off time (no
lectures) are advised to keep information with the hotel-reception.
The organizers
will pay for accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea/coffee
arranged at breaks during lectures. Participants will have to bear all
other expenditures incurred (including beverages after meals or otherwise) by
them.
Please note the
following timings:
1)
Breakfast – 07.00 to 08.30 hrs.
2)
Lunch - 13.00 to 14.15 hrs.
3)
Dinner – 20.00 to 21.30 hrs.
Breakfast,
Lunch and Dinner will be served in the Dining Hall of the Gold Palace Hotel
Only.
Drinking water
filtered by Reverse Osmosis Process will be provided.
We plan to provide
minimum Internet connectivity to check emails during off time only.
Due to limited
funds, we are forced to arrange shared accommodation for three persons in a
room. Inconvenience is regretted.
Please note that
accommodations are booked till mid-day of 3rd February 2008. The
rooms have to be vacated by 12'noon on 3rd February. The lectures at the
auditorium will continue as scheduled and lunch will be served in the dining hall.
We will arrange transport from the Gold Palace to the Birla Auditorium
after the concluding session of the School for the participants of QM2008 to attend the
reception. On prior intimation, transport to Jaipur Airport/Railway
station may be arranged only at 17.00 hrs on 3rd of February. No other
transport arrangements can be made.
